Wedding Ring Set Crushed
On this edition of the Weekly Before and After, we have an engagement ring set that was crushed and in need of a major ring repair. The head of the wedding ring was bent forward, and the ring enhancer was crushed together. The engagement ring has invisible set diamonds, which usually means most jewelers won’t touch it or they will try to glue them. However, our My Jewelry Repair team has Master Jewelers that can handle invisible setting and will never glue stones in place.
There was much to do to repair these rings:
- Reshape and align the head
- Reshape the rings
- Straighten the shanks
- Replace the bars on the ring enhancer
After that we just performed a Clean & Polish (including rhodium plating) and there we go!
