A Seamless Mail-In Process for Montblanc Repair

My Jewelry Repair specializes in restoration of any Montblanc items including Writing Instruments, Watches, Leather Goods and Accessories. Although the repair process timing differs depending on the item and repairs needed, the repair process generally takes 2-4 weeks (if we do not need to order parts) to complete and send back once payment has been authorized.

Important Notes About the Repair Process

  • My Jewelry Repair is an authorized repair service only, we are not a reseller of Montblanc parts.
  • When sending in your writing instrument for repair/service, please send in the whole instrument for careful diagnosis of the required service for your instrument, please do not just send in one piece.
  • Please note that any parts that are replaced will become the property of Montblanc and will not be returned.
  • We advise against sending your writing instrument in its original box or any container that you would like to keep.
    • The shipping container is usually discarded upon arrival.
    • If you send your piece in with the original Montblanc presentation box we will attempt to return it to you.
  • Shipping and Insurance must be purchased by customer per Montblanc’s specified policies.
  • Quotes cannot be approved via email, they must be paid for or declined through our online portal or by phone.
  • In order to provide an accurate quote and avoid misleading pricing, we recommend Montblanc items to be evaluated by our certified technicians first.

  1. Request a Repair
    • Create a repair request order through our simple online process. You’ll be able to request a complimentary service kit for certain items (Writing Instruments and Watches) and pay for a shipping label to send the product for repair.
  2. Prepare Your Item for Repair
    • Please ensure the complete instrument is being packaged. Kindly enclose a copy of the corresponding warranty booklet or card and a receipt of purchase with the date clearly shown, if warranty coverage is still applicable. Do not send in the original warranty booklet or card and original packaging. If you have requested a service kit, please follow the instructions in the service kit. Use the shipping label generated from your repair request order. Feel free to take a look at our shipping instructions here.
  3. Ship Your Item For Repair
    • If you have requested a service kit, please follow the instructions on the service kit. If not, please use your own packaging and ensure your product is well protected. Use the shipping label generated from your repair request order to send the item in for repair.
  4. Receive a Diagnosis & Repair Cost Quote
    • After receiving your Montblanc item, we will do a careful diagnosis to evaluate the required service needed to restore your item. You will be notified by email with a link to review and approve the cost to provide the required service. If your item is under warranty, no payment is required.
  5. Authorize Payment & Repair Service –
    • The approved service will be completed once the Repair Cost Quote has been approved and a form of payment has been secured through the webform provided by email. In case you refuse the cost estimate, your Montblanc item will be returned to you in the same condition it was received. You will need to pay for the shipping of the item back whether repaired or not repaired.
  6. Process Payment of a Repair Service
    • You will be notified once the repair service is completed and passes through final quality control measures before proceeding with processing of the payment for the repair service. If your item is under warranty, no payment is required.
  7. Delivery of Montblanc Item
    • Once the payment is processed for the completed repair service, your Montblanc creation will be shipped to you using the shipping label which you have paid for.

I sent my Mont Blanc Pen to My Jewelry Repair to be serviced and went through a relatively easy process of getting the packing information, taking photos of the pen, and sending it to them at their offices in California.  They quickly gave me the details and cost to do the work and we moved forward as promised.  The pen was repaired and photos of the repair were made before being returned to me.  When I received the pen back, the pen was damaged.  I called and they asked that I take a photo of the pen so they could see the damage.  There was no debate about fault.  The CEO took charge and made things happen--quickly and honorably.  I felt like a valued client whose business was appreciated.  Within a day or so, they sent me a photo of the repair and told me the pen was in the mail and when it would be delivered--no debate,  no blame,  just good service that I feel was above and beyond reasonable and I wanted to share this story with those that might do business with My Jewelry. I have a Monte Blanc pen that I received as a gift probably 40 years ago.  A couple of years ago I dropped it and the resin barrel cracked.  I lived with it for a while until it finally began to separate.  So, I looked around and found My Jewelry Repair.

It was a little scary to just drop such an important item in the mail to a stranger, but I researched them, and they seemed legitimate.  So when they provided me a mailing label and I shipped it off.

It took a couple of weeks, but when I got it back (in a better box than I sent it to them in) they had not only replaced the broken part; they had overhauled the entire pen and put a new ink cartridge in it.
