An Aquamarine Ring Repair
On this edition of the Before & After series, we have a very tarnished silver ring with a hazy aquamarine center gemstone, bent shank, and a missing side diamond.
When we receive repairs for gemstone replacements, it is common that the side stones are usually the stones that are missing, and is more uncommon to see that the center stone is missing, which is the case here. However, because the aquamarine center stone is not in the pristine condition that owner desired it to be, it also had to be replaced as well.
For this ring repair, we had to:
- Straighten the shank
- Source new diamond & aquamarine gemstones
- Set the new center and side stones
- Check all of the other stones to make sure they’re all secure in their settings
It is then all wrapped up with our signature rhodium clean and polish and it’s good to go!
