Rescuing an Important Piece from the LA Palisades Fire
Welcome back to another Before & After blog spotlight! We thought this restoration would be important to share as we got a piece to restore from the Palisades fires that happened earlier this year. This piece stands a symbol of the damage that was done, and we believed it was truly important to help restore the ring and bring it back to life for the stories it held by the owner.
The owner of the ring requested to simply clean and polish the ring to get rid of the damage that was done when it was engulfed in the flames. Unfortunately, you could see that many stones fell out of their settings from the event, and the rest were affected with heat damage as well. On the bright side, our skilled jewelers were able to fulfill the simple request to get the ring itself in a shining state.
The Details of this Sentimental Ring Restoration
For this ring repair, we had to:
- Perform our standard and free professional evaluation after noting the repair requests of the customer
- As you may have already known, although we are an online jewelry and watch repair company, we only provide evaluations when our skilled craftsmen can physically asses the items in person at our secure facility
- Professional clean and polish the ring
And voilà! This ring holding more memories and stories than we could ever imagine was restored. Repairs like this remind us of the important work that we can do to restore memories.
