Stone Replacement on an Invisible Setting Ring
On this edition of the Before & After Series, we have a 10k white gold invisible set diamond ring with one stone missing.
Invisible settings are very difficult to work on, but our Master Jewelers have the skills and equipment to get the work done.
For this repair, we had to:
- Source the appropriate diamond for the missing stone
- Groove the diamond for the specific invisible setting
- Professional Reset the diamond
- Finish off with a Rhodium Clean & Polish
If you’ve kept up with our Before & After Repair Series, you’ll remember that we’ve mentioned that this type of setting is requires an expert level of skills to work on. Luckily, we have Master Jewelers here at My Jeweler repair that know how to work with this rare and intricate setting.
Invisible settings involve the process of setting stones side-by-side, hiding the metalwork underneath, which can give the appearance of a larger stone. These require specialists with expert skill, and we are proud to say we are home to such master craftsmen!
